Royal Messenjah

Surrounded by crocodiles and under an almighty silk cotton tree, we shot a little vid with Royal Messenjah in The Gambia. Mr Messenjah wrote this song with the aim to unite The Gambia. Watch the vid to find out if it worked...

Well, this one an odd one but still fun, it was like a conference with a gig chucked on at the end. The Gambia you really did impress us with your beautiful smiles and beautiful presence. As I walked onto the stage I thought to my self oh no! No one will listen! But you all did, you got involved dancing and singing. It was so lovely :) Thank you all for coming along. The show was intimate and full of life. You sure know how to have a good time.

Your country is stunning, you should be proud to live in a country that is so vibrant. You made us feel at home and without a doubt, we'll be returning here one day soon.

Here are some pictures from the night.

The Gambia

In the Gambia, We visited a lovely charity called Harte House which quite simply and purely wants to show love and provide care to children who have learning difficulties and disabilities. They provide an amazing service and give the children's parents respite when needed, which is a wonderful example of what a little breather and time to one's self can do, this time can massively help people who are constantly under pressure with a unique heaviness that not everyone actually understands or sympathises with.

They also provide awareness in their community by involving the local Gambian community by providing activities in people's homes whose children have learning difficulties and disabilities.

We experienced first-hand the type of care which these children have and the type of activities they were involved in, to help stimulate their minds and encourage them to reach their full potential. And most importantly be happy and fulfilled.

Please check out their website and see the hard work that this charity is doing.
