MOAS

Charity

Our visit to the charity 'Migrant Offshore Aid Station' in Malta was reassuring that there are a whole bunch of dedicated people who just want to help the most vulnerable people, who have suffered hardship due to the humanitarian disasters around the globe. The team here were so lovely and informed us on all the brilliant projects they are involved in. They explained themselves in the most of ways ‘they just want to help people live’. Which seems fair enough doesn’t it.

Founded in response to the October 2013, the humanitarian disaster off the coast of Lampedusa, in which some 400 men, women and children drowned, MOAS aimed to provide a model for a civil society response to the unfolding crisis.

Since the charity was founded, they have done an amazing job in rescuing and assisting over 40,000 people on the world’s most dangerous migration routes, and continue to advocate and lobby for the creation of safe and legal routes for vulnerable people in desperate need of international protection.

In September 2017, MOAS shifted operations to South East Asia, where the MOAS team are working to provide aid and medical care to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh through our specialist field clinics known as ‘Aid Stations’.

Their latest campaign 'Giving Tuesday’ is an urgent request to help save those in the most desperate of circumstances. For more information, please visit their website: https://www.moas.eu/

Gig

A big Thank You for having us Malta and thank you for bringing the warm vibes. We were also thrilled to share our love for music with our friends, supporters and everyone who came out to see us. It was a really special evening, especially being our 154th gig. It's been one long journey so far and when we see people having a lovely time, it makes the journey worthwhile. Here some pictures from the evening.
